A very nice area to visit and the middle falls is very impressive. It would be nice to have the upper falls open again.

Sharon and I went to these falls on a rainy day. We were soaked,but content. I was able to get some very beautiful pictures of wildflowers.

Little falls is really not with it. Big falls worth the trip and a very easy walk.

These falls are not worth visiting - go to another falls if you are going to invest the time.

From looking at pictures of this waterfall on the web, the Desoto falls is suffering greatly in the drought. It was still a very pretty waterfall and a nice, short hike. Easy access from a paved parking area (be prepared to leave $3 in the drop box). Hiked this trail on a late summer Saturday. Quite a number of people on the trail. Only real climb on this trail is to the "lower falls" It does some switchbacks up a steeper area, but it's only .25 miles from the parking area, so, not much of a climb.

I enjoyed this hike, but it was the wrong time of the year. Tough, muddy, had it blocked off where you couldn't go up as far as you would like to go. Evidently it was too dangerous.

Nice hike, do not be fooled by "Lower Falls" being the shorter hike as it is switchbacks and much steeper. 07-27-08.

Hiked both waterfalls on June 27, 2009 with Stephanie. Very easy pleasant trails. Both waterfalls are beautiful. Worth the trip.

First of all the hike is NOT 2.4 miles! It is a 3/4 of a mile trail, smoother then most of the roads in Georgia. A family came out pushing a stroller. The falls are less then worth the 1hr+ drive it took to get there. The description is way wrong! Also the driving directions are wrong also! Please update! Yes we went to the right place! We verified with park employees and took a picture of ourselves in front of the sign.

Not bad. upper trail is easier than lower. Very family friendly hike. Description(length is over 2 miles if you walk both trails) and directions are spot on. But add another hike with this one else the day drive isn't worth it. Also GA park pass not accepted here. Must pay $3 to park.

I enjoyed hiking this trail with my wife and dog. The scenery was good and the falls relaxing. Hiking to the upper and lower falls is needed to feel like you have put in a good hike. The trails were crowded on a Sunday.

The review from 7/13/09 is right on the money. This hike is advertised very misleadingly. The longest trail is a mere 3/4 mile and it is extremely easy. The falls themselves are somewhat nice, but unimpressive compared to how they are described online. The on-site camping isn't great either, the campsites are very close to one another. Big points for the very friendly couple who run the place, though. DeSoto Falls would be a nice day-trip for families if they live within 30mins, otherwise don't bother.

Did this trail after we left Vogel one day. Pushed a stroller with a 2 year old all the way to the upper falls. Very pretty falls. Nice easy hike

Easy hike to upper main Falls - foliage detracts from Falls view. As of May 23rd 2010 a oak tree had recently fell across the path and was not cleared or cut out as yet - go the south route toward the creek to pass this obstacle and return to the path. 3/4 mile hike and worth the short stroll to see.

was slightly disappointed in this one. think it would have been better after a rainy season. there was not much flow to the falls at the time we went.
