Somewhat strenuous since mostly uphill or downhill. Was disappointed that we didn't see a waterfall, only a small trickle of water. It would also be great to have a clearing in the trees along the trail to see the wonderful view.

If you're at Fort Mountain, definitely take the time for this. Most of the trail runs along the creek or rim of the mountain and the waterfall that sneaks through is great!

Great for novice hikers. It's a short hike with a breath taking view and with so many trails in the surrounding area, it is well worth the trip!

Hiked this trail many times since the 80's You used to be able to find the old mine in a cove once you hit the Gahuti. The opening was blocked off by a gate. In the past few years, they strategically cut down some trees to collapse the opening. It's now very difficult to find the original mine opening. Still a nice hike along the gold mine creek.
