This is a great up and back if you start at the reflecting pond and walk to the base of the falls. Spring and fall give the best veiws.

Beautiful view of the surrounding mountains and an excellent up close view of the falls from the bridge.

Carry plenty of water for this trail.Steep climb,have a day pack with water and throw in some energy bars this will help.treking sticks are not a bad idea also.Wear light clothing that will wick.And some insect repelent.

We did not go far enough down the stairs to get a good look at the falls, but the kids will enjoy having lunch and playing in the creek. We will have to go back to see the falls better.

It's worth the trip if you're not looking to work up a sweat and get off paved roads. The main trail has tons of stairs! Not exactly a trail. The scenery from the falls is great though and makes up for any lack of difficulty.

Beautiful waterfall and a great climb! One of our dogs was a little unsure about the 175 stairs going up to the waterfall (they're see-through metal stairs, which I think felt strange on his paws and freaked him out a bit because he could see the rushing water beneath us as we climbed). Our other dog flew up the stairs two at a time, though--such fun! I would definitrly recommend this hike as a day-trip to anyone interested in a good uphill climb.

We took the stairs down, definitely the way to do it. Take the East Ridge trail to the top. Lots of stoppers on the stairs, which is why going down is less stressful

The fall is really pretty, but be prepared for the state park-- lots of families, kids, elderly, etc... We took the hard, steep way up, otherwise it would be a 2 difficulty.

Lots of steps, but well worth it. Took the loop, by coming up the base of falls trail (with all the steps) and coming down the East Ridge.

The bottom is very easy. Nice view of creek. Stairs are VERY difficult!

177 steps up to the lower part of waterfall, picnic area, portapotties, playground, store, snakes on display. Bought walking stick. Didn't go to top.

Great intense hike up the million steps. Keeps you breathing heavy. Top of the falls is a wonderful restaurant with a great brunch on weekends. $5.99 soup and salad is great..or $12.99 all you can eat fattening fool. View spectacular!

short hike with nice views of the falls once you reach the top

Definitely worth it! Waterfall is beautiful and relaxing. Took some fabulous pics. Hike is moderate, not too difficult. If you bring a small dog (I took my min-pin), you may have to carry it on the steeper climbs. Definitely worth the effort.

600 stairs if you take the "falls" way up. A great hike and really makes you feel like you have accomplished something. We enjoyed a picnic at the top, but the lodge has good food with a great view too!

Hiked the trail and scoped out the approach trail. Followed 2 weeks later and hiked the approach to Springer Mtn. in 8.5 hours. Ran out of water 5 miles to go.

This was a great start to our hike to the Len Foote Hike Inn, even though the stairs tired us out a little before the many climbs later. If you can, start from the visitor center and hike the short distance (1/2 mile maybe?) to the falls. It builds up the anticipation.

We went in the fall and it was AMAZING! The Colors on the trees and reflecting in the Water was worth going over and over to this Water Fall! The falls were breathe taking and relaxing! The top of the falls is a must to SEE while there!

Very busy, lots of visitors blocking the fall's view, but the 500 steps worth the outlook! I liked the lounge where you can relax and rest. The hikinig trail that links back to the parking was very easy! All downhill! Spectacular views too!

Very nice hike! I'm glad I started up the East ridge first though, the people I saw coming UP the stairs to the top of the falls while I was going DOWN them looked pretty tuckered out!

October 2010 This is inside Amicalola State Park. There are steps to the top, but we decided to drive due to time restraints. There is a mid-way stopping point on the drive up which is the best view of the falls. Beautiful! Walking on a bridge that connects the steps and the path one can stand in front of the falls and watch as the water flows under the bridge. There is another view from the top which is amazing. The park has camping, a lodge and a rustic Hike Inn. The Hike Inn is a 5 mile hike from the parking lot. We will have to do that sometime. Sounds wonderfully serene.

it was awsome to walk up that mount and to know that beautiful water fall and its peacefulness it brings a peace of senerity
