Fun loop trail that was poorly marked the last time we hiked it.

Dahlonega
Take Georgia 60 north from Dahlonega for 22.1 miles to Cooper Creek Road. Note that at 10.0 miles U. S. Highway 19 turns right and Georgia 60 continues straight ahead past Stonepile Gap. Continue to Cooper Creek Rd (4.9 miles past Stonepile Gap). Go right on Cooper Creek Road for 0.8 miles, then turn left on FS-236, which is a gravel road. Follow FS-236 for 2.3 miles to the Cooper Creek Scenic Area Day Use Parking Lot on the right.
